Mission
The Director of Insights and Analytics - US Market Development and Commercialization will provide expertise and leadership to guide category and channel strategy development as a strategic partner to the general manager of the newly developed United States MDC organization. They will also develop and implement methods to measure and optimize executional excellence of commercial tactics (ie. retail display and sampling, digital marketing, on-premise brand programming, value added packs, and ecommerce investment), and lead a team of 5 insights and analytics leaders. The Director will work alongside the MDC General Manager and the North American Insights and Commercial Analytics leader to drive growth and executional excellence in the categories, channels, and premises that BSI competes in within the United States.

This individual has the opportunity to be a key part of driving and shaping our business via a new role within a newly implemented commercial organizational structure working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Strategy to accelerate growth on well established brands via improving executional excellence and charting new paths to growth within the categories, channels, and premises (off & on) we compete in. - Manage multiple projects/brands/direct-reports simultaneously and deliver work with excellence
- Experience in mining data to extract and synthesize information into actionable insights
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree required – Master’s degree a plus
- Minimum 12-15 yrs of insights/analytics, category management, brand management, and/or consulting experience
- Extensive client-side leadership experience in a leading Consumer Products Goods company or major US retailer
- Strong experience in beverages/ alc-bev industry is an advantage
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams and a leader of leaders
- Experience developing, aligning, and owning a departmental budget
- Strong commercial acumen, knowledge of retail practices and store environments
- Experience developing shopper and market insights led retail strategies (category/channel growth platforms) and developing retailer facing (buyer and category leadership) category and product sales stories
- Demonstrated experience developing and utilizing statistical methodologies to evaluate commercial tactics and marketing investments including but not limited to A/B test and control methodologies
- Experience with syndicated sources (e.g. Nielsen, IRI, Panel data, MRI etc.) and ability to generate category or brand insights and to form recommendations
- Experience with range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies; concept testing, advertising, vis-id/packaging, positioning, consumer segmentation/demand spaces etc.
An expected salary range for this position is $155,000 - 195,000.
