Manager - Marketing Services  

 

Mission

 

The role will report to the Sr. Manager of Commercial Planning Services with significant cross-functional interaction across Commercial Marketing, Field Marketing, Customer Marketing, various internal support teams, as well as external vendors.  The role is focused on leading the Commercial Planning process, communication & infrastructure for deployment of below-the-line marketing programs and point-of-sale (POS) across our portfolio.   Key areas of responsibility include:

 

Commercial Planning Process

  • Ensure National  planning materials and tools are delivered to Field Sales, Field Marketing and Customer Marketing in preparation for the Local  Planning Process.  This includes:
    •  Develop field planning guidelines, calendars and planning tools throughout the annual brand planning process
    • Develop and maintain quarterly Commercial Playbooks by brand, as well as consolidated cross-brand recap tool 
    • VAP (Value-Added Packaging)/Gifting calendar
    • Field Programming Calendar
  • Lead the development of key cross-category POS materials, tools and solutions as part of the National POS buys
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure all departments are adhering to national VAP planning procedures and best practices.
  • Manage Commercial Planning Brand Investment Budget:  Maintain Excel tracker for greater team,  manage budgets in Salesforce/SAP and provide formal recapping and guidance to Sr. Director of Commercial Planning.
  • Lead/assist with Special Projects, as needed, in support of Sr. Directors in Commercial Planning, Field Marketing, Commercial Marketing.

 

Vendor Management

  • Across key vendor partners (Lead iBotta and Inmar; Support on InnerWorkings and Brandmuscle)
  • Manage contract terms and negotiations in conjunction with Procurement partners
  • Manage day-to-day vendor relationships and establish ways of working between Vendor and BSI
  • Manage all issues and opportunities to resolution
  • Collaborate on all development and deployment of key system/process enhancements to all BSI parties; Conduct/facilitate training, as needed
  • Ensure reporting needs and analysis support is delivered to end users
  • Liaise with BSI Customer Service department regarding consumer inquiries about offers
  • Collaborate with Print-on-Demand partner to ensure that coupon/rebate information aligns with BSI sales structure and brand portfolio.
  • Maintain documents and tools on Beam Suntory’s internal and external share site to ensure current materials are available to our Commercial and Distributor partners

 

Cross-Functional Communication 

  • Act as communication bridge between Commercial Marketing, Field Marketing and Customer Marketing
    • To Commecial Marketing, share postings about deliverables, process changes and vendor updates. 
    • To Field Marketing and Customer Marketing, present relevant materials and updates during team meetings
    • To Cross-functional team, (e.g. Global Commercialization, Finance, Procurement, Legal), inform/collaborate as relevant to areas of responsibility

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5-7 yrs. experience in industry or similar function
  • Project management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Vendor management (coupon clearinghouse a plus)
  • Experience leading/guiding team to meet timeline deliverables within established process
  • Microsoft Office standard programs
  • Travel 5%
