This position will report to the Senior Manager of Commercial Data and Reporting. They will be part of the Global IT Sales organization and support our Commercial teams across the North America, International, and Asia Pacific Regions.

The Manager of Global Commercial Information Strategy will provide thought leadership, cross-functional business ownership, and data and analytics support across all end-to-end sales solutions, including tools in Power BI, Anaplan, and Salesforce. Ideally, the manager will be familiar with the beverage spirits sales industry and experienced in commercial data strategy and execution.

This role serves as a conduit between key users, cross-functional business partners, and third-party vendors - with a strong focus on developing and executing new requirements to enable sales teams, increase adoption, and manage day-to-day data quality. This person will have the opportunity to influence the Global Commercial Data and Analytics strategies, while gaining exposure to a range of teams and leaders across the organization

Role Responsibilities

Act as a Commercial Analytics Product Owner
Drive the design and execution of new requirements and work with cross-functional teams and external partners to assess, recommend, and deliver solutions. Be able to translate between technical and business requirements.
Foresee and drive opportunities for optimal user experience and capabilities.
Lead development teams using an Agile development methodology and structure.
Lead project management and executive report-outs.
Understand data architecture and continuously test and validate solution.
Understand full end-to-end Suntory Commercial Data Flow – both in its current state and as each country rolls up to the Global NorthStar vision. Be able to advise on solutions at a country-level.
Work directly with Commercial Planning, US Commercial, Global Strategy, MDC, and Global Commercial Excellence teams to understand business needs and drive toward actionable solutions.
Maintain fluency in Power BI, Anaplan, and Salesforce capabilities and shortcomings to effectively work with users and dev teams to design and develop new tools and enhancements.
Understand data flow and continuously test and validate reports.
Utilize project management best practices to track work priorities, communicate updates, and complete responsibilities in a timely manner.
Prepare for and lead productive meetings with many stakeholders.
Initiate and implement continuous improvement – identify ways to improve the process, data quality, and data sources to drive business satisfaction and results.
Escalate issues and opportunities to senior management as needed.
Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning about and applying new innovations and industry best practices

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, data analytics, or a related area.  
3-5 years of experience working in a similar position/role.
Must have experience developing within Power BI, Microstrategy, Tableau, or a similar business intelligence platform.
Must understand data modeling principles and be analytically focused.
Must be comfortable working with leadership and users across a variety of business and technical teams.
Detail oriented, with a focus on accuracy.
Experience with SAP, Google Cloud Services, Salesforce, Anaplan, Integration Platforms, Snowflake, AWS data lake, or MS Azure preferred.
Proficiency in programming languages, including SQL and Python preferred.
Knowledge and experience working in Agile framework, Consumer Packaged Goods, and highly regulated industries (Alc Bev, Tobacco, Pharma) is a plus

Salary Range - The salary range for this role, based in Chicago with a salary range of $110,000-120,000 along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset. The range will vary if outside of this location.
