  • This individual will serve as an integral part of the North Americas RTD team to drive growth in an exciting category will have the opportunity to shape Beam Suntory’s long-term ambitions in the Ready to Drink Space in the US
  • Play key role in leadership, development and implementation of strategic marketing on Beam Suntory’s premium pre-mixed cocktail brand, ensuring we advance our long-term brand journey and deliver key assets and strategies needed to recruit new consumers and achieve brand ambitions.
  • Opportunity to work on an exciting, priority category & brand – to set and implement brand strategies in conjunction with cross-functionals (R&D, Finance, Consumer Insights, etc.), and to partner with sales / commercial teams to ensure execution of strategies and tactics
  • Serve as lead brand steward in developing plans to extend BSI presence in the Ready to Drink space in the US
  • This role reports to the Senior Marketing Director, RTD North America and will have 2 direct reports (Associate Brand Manager, OTR and Associate Social Media Manager, OTR)


Role Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

Lead the creation of short and long-term strategic marketing objectives, strategies and asset development for the On the Rocks Masterbrand, enabling North America Regional Teams to deliver against volume, sales and profit growth objectives each year.


Brand Stewardship:

  • Lead Global Brand Strategy & Guardrails including 12yr Growth Planning, Brand Experience Blueprint, asset development and oversee innovation strategy & execution  
  • Provide national brand strategy guidance and ongoing program information to the Regional Brand Teams
  • Facilitate exchange of information (competitive, regional insights, inventory, etc) and stay abreast of brand needs with regular touchpoints with Regional Brand Teams to ensure national plans are created in adherence to brand led, market fed strategy
  • Build relationships with cross-functional partners, including Innovation, Insights, Finance, PR, etc

Project Management:

  • Lead Masterbrand planning and concept creation for Experiential including authoring of creative briefs, effectively managing timelines, establishing KPIs to measure success and ensuring all programs are in alignment with national brand strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functionals and agency partners to identify and develop US media partnership opportunities, develop recommendations, and execute plans
  • Assist Brand House and PR team in PR campaign strategy and execution
  • Oversee end-to-end commercialization projects for Masterbrand product updates and innovation work in Planisware (commercialization) system

Business Analytics:

  • Analyze key business metrics (depletions, distribution, velocity, Nielsen, pricing, profit, etc).  Prepare analysis and make recommendations for action
  • Analyze and make recommendations on competitive activities including product, pricing, promotion (consumer and trade) and distribution
  • Budget management and understanding of forecasting process, including ROI evaluation
  • Drive strategic, annual brand planning process by leading the key elements of plan and working with our Regional Market Teams to build locally relevant marketing plans
  • Contribute to quarterly brand updates and business reviews


Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • 6+ years of consumer marketing or brand/commercial strategy experience; RTD/beer experience preferred
  • BA required; MBA preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform structured financial analysis, turning data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Proven ability to lead and execute projects that align with overall strategy
  • Strong project management experience, including budget management
  • People Management experience
  • Ability to work in a complex environment with many stakeholders
  • Experience working collaboratively across functions
  • Experience working cross culturally and/or desire to learn about different cultures
  • Ability to collaborate with agencies and other stakeholders to bring ideas from briefing to planning to execution
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment under pressure / time constraints
  • Knowledge of the spirits industry, particularly the three-tier system and distributor partnerships
