Analytics & Reporting Specialist - Senior  




Are you interested in being part of the most innovative area of Human Resources, in a role that has the potential to unleash the power of data to our HR organization? The HR Analytics & Reporting Specialist will create new value for Beam Suntory by partnering with the HR community to provide impactful analytics for HR Partners and business leaders. This role requires a special candidate who has the foundational data management skills, is a builder at heart, who thinks creatively, has a passion for analytics and the desire to champion, teach and coach others to leverage analytics and reporting.

Beam Suntory has an ambitious 2030 vision and analytics can play a key role in enabling our success. This position provides a fantastic opportunity to mature our HR analytics function by building innovative and holistic analysis approaches as well as adding predictive and prescriptive analytics. While the position is in Chicago, the scope is global and currently includes data for over 27 countries, many with aggressive growth plans. This role will also have the unique opportunity to help evaluate and decide on the tools & vendor(s) to take us to the next level. Lastly, we will work with our parent company to share our analytics journey with other Suntory Holdings subsidiaries, to help them build their analytics practices.


Desired Qualifications



  • Develop and interpret simple to complex reports which clearly and concisely show key trends and problem areas
  • Creatively design and execute data analysis that delivers new people and business insights
  • Partner with HR Managers and Directors to recommend and develop meaningful dashboards and reports that can be used in business discussions  
  • Refine / redesign our dashboards in SuccessFactors to answer relevant business questions and communicate data and insights to HR Leaders in a concise and easy to understand format
  • Coach and teach others on how to use the self-service analytics and reporting tools
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for HR Partners and leaders upon request
  • Create simple to complex reports as requested by a variety of functions including Finance, Risk Assessment and Global Business Services
  • Maintain the existing report library and develop new reports that can be utilized as self-service by HR and business leaders
  • Conduct periodic reviews of HRIS data to preserve the overall integrity of the data and analytics
  • Maintain the organization structure data that enables analysis and recommend improvements to deliver new ways of analyzing data
  • Assess and recommend opportunities to leverage existing and new technologies during the HRIS roadmap planning process
  • Mature our processes and documentation including data cleansing process, data dictionary, and training materials
  • 4 years of experience with data including sourcing, extracting, manipulating, compiling, analyzing and interpreting results
  • 2 years of experience using visualization tools and analytics
  • Experience managing “people” data
  • Advanced skills in managing data using Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to professionally manage confidential information
  • Ability to communicate findings and present them to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and establish priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HRIS, or HR
  • ​​​​​Experience developing and delivering training Preferred 
  • Experience with SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics or other similar system Peferred
