Role Responsibilities
- Using sales forecast, prepare and adjust short- and long-term packaging schedule for resource planning; review over short term to adjust inventories against actual sales, constrains and any other circumstance that may arise.
- Conduct monthly cycle count reconciliations.
- Using Sales and Marketing Program Plan create long term on-packing plan for resource planning, coordinate on-packing production both internal and external based on Beam Global Canada requisitions and shipment deadlines.
- Using data supplied by Beam Global Beam Global Canada, provide forecast to Third Party Co-Packing for production of Canadian Club products as required.
- Monitor SAP for production requirements and create process orders for scheduled production to meet demands.
- Responsible for the Master Data of all packaged and value add goods.
- Using the bulk sales forecast, prepare a short term (3 week) and a long-term bulk loading scheduled
- In support of the bulk loading schedule, oversee and direct the bulk traffic department to coordinate truck, trailer, sea container & rail car movement to facilitate the timely and effective load out of all bulk orders.
- Ensure that the bulk schedule is developed such that it matches tank house capability and capacity to facilitate effective and efficient tank house operations.
- Partners with procurement and logistics to ensure operation runs smoothly without packaging downtimes due to lack of materials.
- Use appropriate root cause problem (RCPS) solving techniques to help with operational improvements.
- TECO process orders for ADL and third-party Co-Pack production.
- Ensure that bulk and Liquor orders are delivered on time and full
- Promote and enforce the use of NCRs, CARs, PARs, KPIs, assist with HACCP, customer complaints, Trending/Tracking, Audit Close-Out, Process Improvement
- Identify capacity constraints using the rough-cut capacity plan and recommend solutions to address the shortfalls. Provide analytical support to AP and Operations teams for on-going business needs. Support the execution of product launches, promotional activity, contract partner initiatives, customer service levels, lead time, inventory levels and production adherence.
- Facilitate daily operations meetings to maintain a focus on Production attainment, schedule adherence and risks to supply due to execution issues as they happen. Facilitate Weekly meetings to highlight future requirements for brewery leadership and ensure key supply chain milestones and strategies are understood and achieved using the local RCCP.
- Support S&OP processes, identifying areas of improvement.
- Support the Site’s change management process through proper downtime planning, ie. capital projects, qualification trials, improvement work, and WCO activity.
- Provide daily updates on supply to highlight upcoming key activity and potential constraints.
- Participates in ongoing transformation of our planning and scheduling systems and tools
Qualifications & Experience
- Post - Secondary education; with a minimum of 7years Planning/ Supply Chain experience.
- Proficient in SAP – ERP, Microsoft Office, Power BI , or any other mass data analytics.
- Schedule Flexibility (might require follow up after business hours )
- Supply Chain/PMAC certification an asset
- Strong business acumen
- Perform well in a dynamic change environment and manage conflicting priorities while multi-tasking
- Must be self-motivated, proactive with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly present findings, and improvement ideas.
- Demonstrate the skill and ability to perform complex tasks
- Excellent follow through on projects and issues.
- Be highly detailed, and possess excellent problem resolution skills.
- Required frequently: standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching.
- Role will require that PPE be worn when on plant site.
- Compliance with standard operating procedures, legal and other requirements including health and safety, fire protection, environmental, quality, security and continuous improvement programs is a requirement of the job.
