Contributes to the success of the Maintenance operations and Central Stores by working with the Maintenance team to manage parts inventory and work order parts assembly.

Job Responsibilities

Material Stores: 
•Coordinates the supply and delivery of materials to the specification of the work orders
•Builds material kits based on Work Order requirements
•Picking orders for Trades to assemble work orders
•Maintain material and power tool sign in/out logbook – keep track of and account for location of power tools
•Maintain order and cleanliness of Central Stores area
•Administrative tasks such as Work Order ent
•Utilize company vehicle to source local parts and pick up specific parts and 
•Work with Maintenance Planner to send equipment for servicing to appropriate vendor following outlined purchasing procedures.
Inventory Control:
•Monitor stores inventory levels
•Maintain inventory records in SAP
•Updating Bill of Material in SAP
•Prepare Purchase Requisitions for replenishment
•Conduct cycle counts and records maintenanceReport to management on stock levels and accuracy
•Receive goods from Central Receiving, unpack shipments, put away
•Verify the correctness of stock quantities received
•Prepare, pack and create Bill of Materials for items to be returned to vendors
•Maintain inventory of paint, lubricants and safety consumables
•In charge of Vendor Managed Inventory 
•Optimize inventory levels by identifying obsolete and low usage parts
Purchasing:
•Purchasing of non-production Maintenance and Engineering items
•Capex equipment and services
•Create Purchase Requisitions for out of stock or specialty items and communicate requirements to Purchasing 
Other duties as may be assigned
 

 

Qualifications

Post-secondary education with previous Central Stores experience
•Clean drivers abstract
•Mechanical and electrical knowledge
•General knowledge of industrial equipment and parts
•SAP experience 
•Microsoft Excel
•Good organizational skills
•Ability to work well under pressure
•Union environment exposure an asset
•Strong interpersonal/communication skills
•Ability to lift heavy objects up to 20kg
•Mobility to access most areas of a large plant site

Compliance with standard operating procedures, legal and other requirements including health and safety, fire protection, environmental, quality, security and continuous improvement programs is a requirement of the job
