Our success and the quality of our brands are attributed to the talent of our people.  Our Supply Chain Group is currently seeking an energetic and dynamic individual with proven capability as a Logistics Coordinator for Case Goods located in their Calgary, Alberta plant. The Logistics Coordinator position will be responsible to coordinate the shipments of various case goods to domestic and export markets from Alberta Distillers and External contract packing locations as well as assist with the import of various spirits

Role Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review purchase orders and accompanying documents from customer service, confirm inventory is sufficient to meet customers’ request
• Create and schedule deliveries pick slips for shipping department in SAP  
• Schedule and track incoming dry goods, coordinate with carriers and suppliers to ensure on-time in full delivery and supply for operations
• Secure lowest cost/best service freight and ensure invoicing accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and distribute shipping and customs documentations (CCI’s) - Trace, reconcile and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate Marketing On-Pack requisitions with Beam Global Canada Sales and Marketing team, Reps and Liquor boards along with Packaging Planner Supervisor
• Reconcile shipped and returned inventory
• Prepare and create all bulk sales and 50ml Mini bottle invoicing for both CC and ADL in SAP
• Facilitate all Freight claims with transportation companies
• Create and enter all new product information into SAP system –DIR Purchasing
• Enter orders for ADL office clearing
• Prepare and ship domestic and international destination packages via courier as required.
• Provide back up support for all bulk shipping and Grain Receiving and DDG shipments for ADL & CC
• Serve as an ambassador for Beam Suntory
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
• Compliance with standard operating procedures, legal and other requirements including health and safety, fire protection, environmental, quality, security and continuous improvement programs is a requirement of the job

Qualifications & Experience

• Post-secondary degree in Logistics, Business Management or related field – or equivalent education/experience combination
• 3-5 years Logistics experience
• Analytical ability to investigate and resolve issues related to shipping, receipt and inventory counts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with liquor boards, customers, co-packers, customer service, suppliers, carrier and various teams within Global Beam Suntory entity
• Confident knowledge of rules and regulations for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Non-Hazardous and Hazardous material shipping
• Firm knowledge of customs regulations and required documentation both import/export
• Strong organizational skills to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate fashion
• Skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and SAP
