Role Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be required to work from 2:00pm-10:30pm and will report to the Maintenance Supervisor. The applicant will responsible for line changeovers and maintenance of packaging equipment, maintaining rotating equipment, and general plant maintenance within all other areas of the facility. In addition, as the successful applicant you will be responsible for:

 

  • Must be able to work rotating shifts (shift work)
  • Packaging equipment change overs as required
  • Maintain all plant equipment and update records (repairs and preventative/predictive maintenance)
  • Act in accordance with the One Beam Suntory Way behaviors
  • Be actively involved with improvements and root cause problem solving
  • Participate in daily ‘huddles’; actively discuss safety, quality and performance issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Compliance with standard operating procedures, legal and other requirements including health and safety, fire protection, environmental, quality, security and continual improvement programs is a requirement of the job.
  • The successful applicant must possess a Journeyman Millwright (Alberta or Interprovincial) with experience in maintaining packaging lines and troubleshooting all types of machinery.
  •  Experience with pumps, pump alignments, conveyors (drag and screw), bucket elevators, super- decanters, fans and compressors would be considered an asset.  
  • A strong background (previous experience) with predictive maintenance would be a definite asset.  The successful applicant must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

The successful candidate must have and maintain the physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs, ladders, catwalks, work in confined areas, be exposed to various environments (wind, dust, heights, hot and cold temperatures, etc.).

 

Note: This position is part of the United Food and Commercial Workers Canada Union, Local No. 401. The hourly rate for this position is $45.67 per hour. Occasional call-in and overtime will be required.
