General Help Packaging - Term Position

Role Responsibilities


Packaging of finished case goods, quality inspection, re-work and general clean-up.         




Case packing:

  • Remove empty cartons from overhead conveyor, and position onto roller conveyor
  • Remove two to four bottles at a time and place into carton until full
  • Push case laterally onto drive conveyor
  • Length of time at station is generally 45 minutes


Quality Inspection

  • Visual inspection of completed bottles, 80 to 130 bottles per minute
  • Check for face, neck, and back labels, notify Labeler Operator of missing or poor, or incorrect Label quality issues.
  • Check for fill height, cap, foreign matter, and date code
  • Remove unacceptable bottles from line and place on rework cart
  • Length of time at station is generally 15 minute
  • Check for legible bottle codes
  • Complete details on inspection checklist



  • Re-work labels on poor quality bottles
  • General clean-up of area, including sweeping and mopping floors
  • Assist with taper machine, and back log in the event of carton sealer malfunction
  • On-pack work
  • Candle defective product
  • Maintain good housekeeping, implement, maintain and support 5S activities and observe all safety regulations
  • Perform specific and preventative maintenance duties and be responsible for the due care of the forklift when in his/her control.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to equipment and process
  • Act in accordance with the One Beam Suntory Way behaviors
  • Be actively involved with improvements and root cause problem solving
  • Participate in daily ‘huddles’, actively discuss safety, quality and performance issues and suggestions
  • Continually identify improvement opportunities for all processes 
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and hours
  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications & Experience



  • Grade 12
  • Production/assembly line experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in reading and writing English
  • Compliance with standard operating procedures, legal and other requirements including health and safety, fire protection, environmental, quality, security and continual improvement programs is a requirement of the job.



Physical job requiring bending, lifting, pulling. Must be able to operate machinery in a safe manner (hands available, ability to look over shoulder).  Must be able to lift, bend, twist, crouch, reach with full range of motion, supporting weights of more then 30 pounds. Must be able to lift full cases weighing up to 65 lbs.
