What makes this a great opportunity?

During the internship program, the intern will learn about maintenance processes, the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and Asset Care management objectives at Booker Noe Distillery. The intern, who should be an engineering student, will undertake daily tasks, weekly tasks, and ongoing projects to support the transition to the new CMMS and improvements in Asset Care. The internship will culminate in a final presentation to management, summarizing what the intern learned and the value they provided to the company.

Role Responsibilities

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
•    Assist with field verification of assets.
•    Assist in the creation of maintenance assets.
•    Assist in developing and implementing plans for preventive/predictive maintenance on equipment, routine replacement of equipment, and improving the material of construction.
•    Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance activities.
•    Identify risks and report violations, near misses, or injuries immediately; safety is everyone's responsibility.
•    Demonstrate knowledge of GMPs, safety standards, and quality standards, with an ability to effectively react and communicate issues.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications

•    Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate engineering program, preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
•    Minimum GPA of 3.0.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Highly motivated with a desire to learn.
•    Highly organized.
•    Must be 21 years of age.
•    Authorized to work in the U.S.
