Support the barrel warehouse operation at Clermont or Booker Noe. Schedule and coordinate activities to safely meet barrel filling, barrel entry, barrel withdraw, and barrel dumping activities in a safe and efficient way meeting all quality requirements.

Role Responsibilities

Follow all safety guidelines, identify, drive safety improvements in the department
Oversee the daily warehouse operations including scheduling and work assignments.
Maintain records of labor hours and manpower scheduling for reporting.
Coordinate scheduling requirements, assignments, and work details with warehouse manager and supervisors for union employees.
Verify employees are properly trained and qualified for the job as it pertains to quality, safety, and performance
Maintain working knowledge of job responsibilities for all supervisors and provide relief responsibilities to any supervisor when workload requires.
Assure payroll records and correct labor codes are used in the management system, approve vacation as requested by union employees.
Maintain working knowledge of OSHA, TTB, DOT, and other regulations to ensure operations are compliant.
Work with all supervisors and manager to ensure routine maintenance of all equipment is completed in a timely manner. Provide support for any equipment that requires non-routine maintenance.
Work with the barrel warehouse management to ensure barrel warehouses are maintained and secure.
Monitor and assure costs relative to budget are within parameters.
Maintain working knowledge of the dumping/entry operations of barrels that meet requirements and quality standards established by the company.
Supports the implementation of operational excellence, ensuring the empowerment of teams within the continuous improvement culture and implementation of lean best practices.
Adheres to and promotes quality, environmental, health and safety as one of the organization’s business priorities.
Serve as Attorney-in-Fact for the company when dealing with bonded materials and associated paperwork.
Maintain clear communication between the various warehouse crews, warehouse supervisors and other departmental personnel interfacing with the operation of the Warehouse Department.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE):
Associate/bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field
Minimum 5-years of supervisory experience in a unionized environment 
Knowledge of Microsoft applications and ERP systems
Excellent communication skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and experience in continuous improvement practices
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to comply with OSHA procedures.
Knowledge of SAP
Previous experience working in a unionized environment

Physical Requirements: 
Constantly walking, standing, and sitting 
Work at heights
Must be able to climb a minimum of three (3) flights of stairs in succession
Must be able to work in hot or cold conditions
