Role Responsibilities

Leadership & Talent Development.  

  • Lead a multi-cultural and globally dispersed team to develop and deploy strategy for a global channel to achieve financial, strategic and long-term brand equity objectives

    (Gemba) Insight:

  • Ensure that we understand customer perceptions of our brands and penetrate consumer behavior and business/brand data to go beyond the “what” to really understand the “why” and the implications of the “how” for future growth plans.
  • Lead the understanding of global cultural and category differences and similarities to ensure that our Brand Strategies are fit for purpose across multiple markets.
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen linking brand strategies and budget management/recommendations to both short and long-term P&L delivery.

Strategy & Planning:

  • Growth planning strategy and 12Y Plans with Global Brand Houses- defining long-term strategy for the different brands within the  portfolio– including allocations management, product portfolio and innovation pipeline, pricing and promo assessment,  activation and advertising.
  • Brand planning- ensure yearly delivery of brand plans, localizing Global strategy to GTR channel and ensuring GTR needs are considered as part of the Global plan. This will include development of specific product and/or activation concept specific to GTR in collaboration with GBH teams.

Experience Design & Delivery:

  • Lead the implementation and adaptation of consumer centric, impactful and fully integrated brand experience platforms and programs focused on “fewer, bigger” initiatives that will engage our consumers and excite our trade partners.
  • Develop global digital strategy and market deployment by working closely with Digital Leads and incorporating digital as part of the shopper journey in each activation. Act as a link with Global Houses to ensure digital assets are part of key deliverables and have their support when needed

Qualifications

 

  • This role can be based in Singapore or London
  • 15+ years’ consumer marketing regional/global experience. Global CPG, travel retail experience preferred. Ideally global or cross market brand experience.
  • Proven regional/global leadership in managing and developing teams successfully and, ideally, has experience of leading diverse, global teams and talent.
  • Experience in driving alignment to strategic brand vision within a global matrix organization. Strong communicator and collaborative leader able to engage internal and external stakeholders..
  • Strategic thinker with solid experience in consumer insights, brand strategy and business analytics. Ability to simplify complex issues and drive focus on a focused number of key issues and opportunities for the brand.
  • Experience in leading and managing the creative brand building and innovation process and fostering productive relationships with agencies, creative teams and cross functional partners.
  • Strong commercial experience with P&L responsibility and demonstrated track record of engaging effectively with commercial partners to drive alignment and performance.
  • A track record in bringing new thinking and ideas to a business/brand in order to accelerate growth.
  • Strong Commercial and Financial Acumen with a focus on driving sustainable profitable growth and being astute in all areas of the commercial P&L (product and channel mix, investment, logistics, COGS, pricing) and budget management.
  • Proven ability to build effective teams, coach and develop direct reports in order to strengthen organizational capability.
  • A strong curiosity for and, ideally experience of, different cultures and markets across the world
