The aim of the Commercial Finance is to provide business partnering, challenge, analysis and insight to drive robust and practical commercial decision making. The function comprises of a team of analysts who are key business partners to the sales team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Business Partner to all commercial functions (Sales, Marketing, Commercial Marketing, Supply Chain) by providing financial support with your team in developing business strategies, sustainable growth, managing and improving profitability and compliance.

  • Coordinatebudget and forecast for the German market by Customer and distribution channel, including preparation of simulations, trends and gap analyses.

  • Lead finance projects and pricing strategies including regular performance reviews to strengthen financial situation

  • Lead the finance support to the local sales team in respect to pricing (incl. trade terms), customer profitability, commercial positioning, customer negotiation, budget and risk management

  • Drive the improvement of profitability through robust KPI measurement and continuous enhancements of our initiatives and promotion strategy

  • Support regional and global revenue initiatives and projects as required and drive value creation by optimization of RGM levers

  • Improve our 3rd party distributor business from a financial point of view and lead the quarterly business reviews

  • Provide leadership to the regional Commercial Finance Team including goal setting, developing and coaching team members

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of previous work experience as a Finance Business Partner or in similar commercial roles preferred in the consumer goods/FMCG industry

  • Strong leadership skills

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related

  • Excellent commercial knowledge, experience in Spirits/Beverages is ideal

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Proactive approach to problem solving and results orientation

  • Strong time manager, able to prioritize a diverse workload and deadlines

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and strong team player

  • Ability to work well in a culturally and functionally diverse environment

  • MS Office skills (esp. Excel) are a must

  • Fluent in English and German (speak, read, write)
